I have always wanted to participate at the King of the Streets that is held every year in San Francisco Mission District. The show starts off with a parade going from Mission and 26th street all the way to 17th street. This is how it all went down!
The first item on the list was to get a few flags that represented our culture. i used bits and pieces to fabricate a multi-flag holder. It did not have to be very robust since the parade speeds was going to be in the 1-2 mph speed range.

The night before the event I did my regular tire checks and found that the rear left tire was flat! I found a 1" screw had punctured the tire. Luckily the local auto parts store was still open and I could buy a tire plug kit.

After using the rasp to make the hole sides rough I inserted the sticky string into the tool and proceeded with plugging process. The initial soapy water test showed no leaks were present.

We planned on leaving at 6am, expecting to make one stop in the 2.5 hour drive to San Francisco Mission district. We stopped at Dublin for fuel, I did not want to look for a gas station SF when we got out of the show. There would be hundreds of others trying to get fuel at the same time. The nearby gas stations would be jammed pack with show attendees.

We spent a considerable amount of time waiting on Van Ness Street waiting to move. It got to to the point where getting into the parade line you risked getting a parking spot once you completed the run.

We parked on Mission Street on the shaded side. Not much time had gone by and the remaining open spot were filled up.
